These are the dates of what Wikipedia refers to as the third phase of the war. The first phase was fought from 1943 to 1944, and the second from December 1944 to January 1945.
What happened in the Greek Civil War was basically that the Government army, supported by the UK and USA, defeated the so–called Democratic Army of Greece – the military branch of the Communist Party of Greece.
